Rich Forbes

Rich is the proud founder and musical director of ‘R’ Voices choir. He has written and performed music throughout his life and worked as a vocal coach at several performing arts institutions including RADA and Performers College (BIMM University). Rich has also worked with many established artists such as Sam Smith and Paloma Faith.

“I’m not trying to take this choir to dizzy heights, I’m just trying to create an environment where people feel very comfortable to find their voice. Or alternatively, just turn up, relax, make some friends, sing and escape from it all for an hour!”

The choir is now 200 members strong across Winchmore Hill, Muswell Hill and Hertfordshire and has performed at various London theatres, the Southbank Centre, festivals, charity fundraisers, and the odd school fete! We have never worn matching T-shirts.

‘R’ Voices has raised money and awareness for Solace (Women’s Refuge), North London Hospice, Marie Curie, Help for Hunger, Cooking Champions and The British Red Cross in support of global disasters.

The essence of the choir is about the friendships, support, the respite from daily routine and stress, the pub after, the people and the fun!..The singing is a bonus!”.

‘R’ Voices does not discriminateWe are a diverse, inclusive, intergenerational choir and are continually looking for ways to incorporate and support our local communities through charity fund-raising and local events.
